There appear to have been many sceptics about the various statements that Lewis Carroll was NOT a conservative Churchman. That, in fact, he was not only radical by the tenets of the Anglican Chuch of his day, but took his theological beliefs beyond Anglicanism and, in fact, beyond Christianity into the realms of what he (and A.P. Sinnett) called 'Esoteric Buddhism'.
I shall be giving a free public lecture at the historic Kingsley Hall in Bow, on the East End of London on Thursday,October 9th, at 7:30 PM, on the topic of "Lewis Carroll and Western Esotericism". London and Cambridge are "a long ways from home" (California) and I look forward to meeting some of you in person and putting faces to names as part of feeling a bit more "at home" while traveling! Thanks so much!!
