Does anyone know if Carroll had a copy of Landor's Imaginary Conversations in his library? He probably did but in light of this interesting coincidence brought forth by Prof. Adam Roberts (see below), it would be nice to pin it down … I do not have a copy of Stern's Lewis Carroll Bibliophile europrogovision.blogspot.com/2009/10/tweedledumdeeiana.htmlAdam Roberts is, I believe, a specialist in Victorian lit and a fine author in his own right, his blog is worth following … thanks, mahendra

According to Stern there is no copy of 'Imaginary Conversations' listed among CLD's books, only something referred to as 'Selections from Landor' in the first (Brooks) catalogue. Bits of 'Imaginary Conversations' may of course have been included in the selection, or CLD may have had a separate copy of it not catalogued by the incompetent Brooks.
