Apparently someone called Robert Douglas-FaIrhurst, who is apparently an Oxford don, has published a book claiming to be the "definitive" biography of Charles Dodgson, a mere nineteen years after the last "definitive" biography of CLD emerged from Morton Cohen's fertile brain. Since Cohen's biography was published quite a bit of new evidence has come into the public domain. I wonder how much notice RDF has taken of it. Apparently Mr Douglas-Fairhurst has now published a similarly definitive biography of Alice Hargreaves (nee Liddell). Anyone read either? Any views on their qualities and/or definitiveness? Probably a pointless question as I doubt anyone but Goetz and I visit this site any more.
