I'd like to recommend LEWIS CARROLL IN NUMBERLAND - and no I am not being paid by the author to say so. I think it's excellent. It explains Carroll's maths and logic for the layman (with a bit of proper,Maths in it for clever readers)(clearly signed so the readers like me can skip it).
Best of all, it gives a telling overview of what Maths meant to Carroll. After reading it, I got a glimpse of what maths meant to him.
