Hello everyone, I am interested in frappant quotations and I would like to know the exact saying about "having to run faster to be able to stand still" Which book is it in ? Is it from white rabbit?

The actual quote is "Now here, you see, it takes all the running you can do to stay in the same place", and is said by the Red Queen in Chapter Two of 'Through the Looking-Glass.'
'Frappant' is a lovely word and very Carrollian. I presume it means 'striking' but I've never met it in English before.
